GMAW (Short-Arc) Tacker (Night Shift)

A Tack Welder provides necessary tools to a ship fitter and assists as directed to include tacking, grinding, or other assigned duties.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

• Must have a minimum of 3 months of tack welding experience; and

• Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Short-Arc (GMAW) tacker T-joint test in the vertical and overhead positions with the vertical position tack welded with downhill progression; and

• Familiarity with basic welding or fitting processes is preferred.
