Aluminum Tack Welder

An Aluminum Tack Welder provides necessary tools to a ship fitter and assists as directed to include tacking, grinding, or other assigned duties.

The requirements for the position are as follows:

Must have a minimum of 3 months of tack welding experience.

Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on (GMAW-P) tacker T-joint test in the vertical and overhead positions with the vertical position tack welded with uphill progression.

Familiarity with basic welding or fitting processes is preferred.
